The Qatar Tourism Chief Operating Officer Berthold Trenkel has announced in a press conference that the 2023-2024 calendar is completely packed with top events like the Geneva International Motor Show, AFC Asian Cup, Formula 1, 21st FINA World Championships Doha, ITT (Institute of Travel Tourism) Conference and Expo 2023 Doha.

2004 - 2004

Geneva International Motor Show:

Let’s come to Qatar and enjoy an unforgettable and outstanding automotive experience with GIMS Qatar. The First Geneva International Motor Show Qatar (GIMS Qatar) will show up in Doha from 5 to 14 October 2023.
This event will display the unique car collection of supercars and limited editions of racing and classic cars from around the world. It will be a super experience for car enthusiasts.
This festival will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), including various test drives.

Formula 1:

A popular race, F1 GRAND PRIX 2023, will be held in Qatar for the first time. World’s fastest cars from various countries will battle in the Lusail International Circuit from 6-8 October 2023.
Formula 1 will host 24 races on the race track for the first time in the history of Qatar.
A popular racing, Formula F1 is going to thrill fans from around the world with high speed and a variety of hairpin mixes.

ITT (Institute of Travel Tourism) Conference:

The ITT conference is a business event organized by the UK travel industry for ITT members and is attended by senior industry figures. The conference will take place each year in different destinations.
Qatar Tourism has announced that it is time for Doha to host the ITT Conference 2023 by welcoming hundreds of representatives of the travel and tourism industry in the UK.
In Qatar, the travel and tourism sector has high demand and a great opportunity for its growth. Entrepreneurs can expect to earn high benefits from investments made in this field, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has said.

AFC Asian Cup:

The 2023 AFC Asian Cup, 18th edition will be hosted in Qatar. This is the third time Qatar will be hosting the tournament after it happened in 1988 and 2011. During the last tournament edition, Qatar won, which was hosted by the UAE in 2019.

21st FINA World Championships Doha:

The FINA World Championships are the World Championships of aquatics sports like swimming, artistic swimming, diving, open water swimming, and water polo. This time, Qatar will host the 21st FINA World Championship from 2-18 February 2024.

Expo 2023 Doha:

The first Expo in the history of Qatar will be held from October 2023 to March 2024 in Doha. Qatar is welcoming the world to get together here for an unforgettable experience made possible through Expo 2023 Doha.
